Wildcare Australia Inc. Specialised Training Workshops:

Wildlife Anatomy and Physiology

This is an advanced course designed essentially for those people who are seeking more in-depth practical knowledge on the anatomy and physiology of wildlife and how it relates to wildlife rehabilitation. The course is suitable for veterinary nurses, zoo keepers and experienced wildlife rehabilitators.

This course deals with the following:

  • Skeletal, muscular, digestive, respiratory, reproductive and urinary anatomy and physiology of native Australian species
  • It includes familiarity with some veterinary terminology
  • Practical sessions include gross anatomy

The course is run by a wildlife veterinarian, Dr Tania Bishop who has over 14 years experience in the wildlife veterinary field.

Students receive a Statement of Attendance upon completion of the course.

This course is offered each year. For next available dates, refer to the Current Education Calendar. Alternatively, you can make an enquiry by emailing the Education Team at [email protected].

The cost of the one-day course, including course handouts and morning and afternoon tea is $50.00 (including GST).
Tailored Training Courses

Our team of experienced and qualified trainers can design tailored training courses to suit a range of individuals including wildlife rehabilitators from other care organisations and veterinary nursing students.
